CrossFit Essex is our resident CrossFit affiliate at Concept Fitness UK

Taking the world by storm, CrossFit is the principal strength and conditioning program for many police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, champion martial artists, and hundreds of other elite and professional athletes worldwide. Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive. Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.

The CrossFit program is designed for universal scale-ability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.

CrossFit Essex was the first ‘Box’ in Essex, our gym is extremely dedicated to making you the best you can possibly be, weather you are a professional athlete or someone who wants to be fit and healthy. Our gym is fitted out with some of the best equipment you can find, and our Coaches are highly trained individuals who are there to coach and advise you on your CrossFit journey. We are situated at the end of the central line, which makes us very handy for before or after work training.

Coaches Keir Williams and Andy Newall have a wealth of knowledge and experience, which allows them to get the very best out of you.

Keir is the head coach at CrossFit Essex, he has a passion for coaching and specialises Olympic weightlifting, and regularly holds coaching clinics. Keir has coached many CrossFit athletes to compete in International and National competitions, as well as competing himself. Keir takes regular classes at Concept Fitness as well as having an extensive personal training client base.

Andy has a no nonsense approach and epitomizes the CrossFit mantra of “our warm up is your workout”. Andy coaches a varied spectrum of athletes, consistently getting the very best out of everyone he coaches.
